Meet Dr. Norton
Dr. Jade Norton was born at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, CO. He was raised in farm and ranch country in Fowler, CO. He learned the value of hard work at a young age on the family farm and ranch. He graduated from Fowler High School where he was a three sport athlete in football, wrestling and baseball. Following high school graduation, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, CO. Following his undergraduate studies, he was accepted into the world renown Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. He earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1991. Motivated to broaden his knowledge in the healing arts, he entered medical school immediately following graduating from chiropractic school. He graduated from University of Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO in 1995. He went on to pursue post-graduate residency training in the specialty of family medicine. He was trained under the watchful eye of Dr. Charles Raye. Following 14 years of medical education and training, he received his board certification with the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Norton proudly served the entire Arkansas Valley region with top quality medical care in private practice for 18 years. He sold his private practice in 2016. In the years following private practice, he worked in several medical subspecialities including urgent care, hospice and palliative medicine, internal medicine, sports medicine and three years in correctional medicine. While working in corrections, he took care of some highly notorious criminals in one of the most secure prisons in the world.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Norton enjoys anything outdoors including hunting, fishing, mountain biking and hiking. One of his favorite activities is to train his loyal hunting buddies…his black labs.
